Digg Downtime

We want to apologize to everyone for the downtime last night, a reader was kind enough to submit one of our article to digg.com and it ended up hitting the front page which brought so much traffic to the site it knocked down our servers for a while. We worked very hard to get them back up and we finally seem to be back to normal. We will be upgrading our servers soon and making several changes to prevent downtime from happening again. Thanks for your patience!

Who Designs Those Google Logos?

Dennis Hwang is the man behind the Google Holiday Logos. Dennis Hwang is a graphic artist from Korea and designed his first logo for Google back in 2000.

Dennis Hwang is currently in charge of all of Google’s webmasters, but still helps design some of the logos.

You The Designer Update

As you guys can see we are updating the way images are displayed in our posts on You The Designer. We ditched the default border around the images and increased the size of images so they line up nicely with the text. We will be going back into old posts and redoing all the images as well. We hope you like the new look as much as we do!
