RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and it is a technology thats provides you with an easy way to keep track of your favorite websites and blogs. The way you are probably used to keeping track of websites is by bookmarking them, but this is much more time consuming and bothersome compared to the new RSS technology.
Appendix Squared has a pretty sweet collection of free Photoshop brushes, textures, patterns, wallpapers and more. There seems to be something for everyone on this site and its a nice resource for graphic designers to check out.
iStockphoto is one of my favorite sites around. They have a ton of great stock photographs, illustrations and videos for all your design needs. Their prices are incredibly cheap and many professional artists submit to iStock, so the selection of work available is amazing.
Mopa is one of my favorite design studios and their work speaks for itself. Mopa was founded in 2006, in BrasÃlia – Brazil and produces great graphic design work and illustrations. They also have a really nice way of displaying some of their portfolio pieces by using several photos to create an animation. You can see these animations showcasing their work if you click next page on the bottom of the site.
T-Shirt contest sites are a great way to put your graphic design and illustration techniques to use in order to win cash prizes. It also can award you free T-shirts. I have researched and located the top five best T-shirt contests sites around.
If you happen to live in New York City, Beautiful/Decay Magazine is hosting a great event called “The Moving Image In Today’s Cultural Landscape”. The event will feature a compilation of videos from three well known creative companies: Brand New School, The Happy Corp and Cool Hunting.
The event is Tuesday, November 20th, 2007 at Anthology Film Archives.
