We are going to get a new server soon from Media Temple, so the site could be down for a day or two depending on how long it takes for the transfer to complete. Please don’t be alarmed if the site is down for a while as we upgrade our server, because we will be back stronger than ever!
I also want to let you guys know that we have a totally custom blog template in the works. I had no idea You the Designer would grow so fast and I think its time we switched from a modified free WordPress template to a totally custom template to let people know we mean business! We hope you guys will like the new layout and you can expect to see it released sometime in January.

What’s so good about MediaTemple servers? All I know if that all the design outlets use them.
Yes thats true many creative websites use Media Temple. I know a lot of other major websites use them as well and I have done a lot of research on web hosting and a majority of the people I talked to mentioned Media Temple.
Their prices seem reasonable as well and I hear their servers can handle major bursts of traffic from digg.com so I hope they work out =)
I like what i’ve seen so far. i look forward to staying within this environment you’ve created for learning.
