We are going to get a new server soon from Media Temple, so the site could be down for a day or two depending on how long it takes for the transfer to complete. Please don’t be alarmed if the site is down for a while as we upgrade our server, because we will be back stronger than ever!
I also want to let you guys know that we have a totally custom blog template in the works. I had no idea You the Designer would grow so fast and I think its time we switched from a modified free Wordpress template to a totally custom template to let people know we mean business! We hope you guys will like the new layout and you can expect to see it released sometime in January.
I want to thank you all for reading You the Designer and I look forward to its continued growth!

What’s so good about MediaTemple servers? All I know if that all the design outlets use them.

Yes thats true many creative websites use Media Temple. I know a lot of other major websites use them as well and I have done a lot of research on web hosting and a majority of the people I talked to mentioned Media Temple.
Their prices seem reasonable as well and I hear their servers can handle major bursts of traffic from digg.com so I hope they work out =)
