		<description>yeah I think most people were expecting Apple to come up with a cheaper version of the MacBook with maybe a 10 inch screen, but I guess instead they wanted to push for the super thin laptop. 

Maybe in the future they will produce some more affordable computers which would help them compete with Dell and others who own the low end computers market right now.

Apple might like the branding it gets from the high prices though because high prices tend to be synonymous with quality products.

For example, Alienware is known for being good or at least thought to be good because they are so expensive, so maybe studies have shown Apple that lowering prices or offering cheap computers would actually be bad for their branding?</description>

		<description>That is a really thin notebook.  I really like the way it looks, but just like anything mac it is just out of my price range. With it starting at $1800.00 I could buy 2 windows based notebooks for that price.</description>
