ReadyMade Magazine calls itself, “A bimonthly print magazine for people who like to make stuff.” The magazine is always packed with informative and creative information, making it a must-read for lots of creative people. The current issue has topics from how to make peppermint marshmallows to a guide on how to refinish wood.
As you might imagine, this magazine utilizes lots of pictures, as well as graphics. They are currently looking for a few graphic designers to be art department interns. Would you like to work in their casual and creative offices, gaining work experience and fun perks? (I don’t know what they are but they’re probably very cool.) If you have two days a week for at least one semester that you could devote to this internship, they might be looking for you.
Programs you need to know: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
You also need to know: The magazine. If you aren’t familiar with it, you can start now and see if you dig it. Do you vibe with their message?

To apply - haul out your resume, polish it up, and write up a self-promotional letter that explains why you are made of awesome (you already know you are, so make sure to convince them). Title the subject heading of the E-mail “Art department internship,” and send it off to becky@readymademag.com.
Then make some popcorn and watch a movie so you don’t compulsively check your e-mail for a response. Yes, I’m lookin’ at you.
