Graphic Design Portfolio - Loz Ives

Loz Ives is a graphic designer from the UK with an impressive graphic design portfolio. His work is all photographed after its been printed, which really gives his portfolio life and a professional feeling. If you’re going to check out any of his pieces look at “Glitter Herpes” its great and shows the process of creating the poster, something you don’t often get to see on portfolio sites.

If you have a camera start playing around with shooting your work and see how the photos come out. Take some lessons if you have too and see if you can set up an area where you live for doing photo shoots of your projects. Here is a great Beginner’s Guide to Photography.

Great! I just got a new Digital SLR. Now I can actually learn how to use it.

Yeah my dream is to have my own room for shooting my design projects, with different backdrops and lighting equipment.

Pretty cool portfolio. I like the way he shows how he did the “Glitter Herpes”. Pretty much the same technique used for stencils in Street Art.

Speaking of shooting design projects. Did you try photographing your web work Gino? If so how did it come out? I’m thinking of doing the same thing but am waiting for a new lens for my SLR.

Yeah I thought it was really cool, I just love seeing the design process.

I’ve never tried photographing my web work before, but I was looking into ways to do that so I could showcase them better in my print portfolio.

If anyone has any suggestions for showcasing websites in a print portfolio I’d love to hear your thoughts.

I also need a new camera!

his works are inspiring. I am not very into printing but seeing those works makes me want to try.
