Call for Entries - Graphis New Talent Annual 09

Graphis, The International Journal of Visual Communication is now accepting entries to its student competition where Advertising, Design and Photography students, will compete for the Graphis Gold Award, a spot in the book and world wide recognition!

Graphis was first published in 1944 by Walter Herdeg in Zurich, Switzerland. In 1986, B. Martin Pedersen was given the opportunity to purchase Graphis. He has since further developed the magazine and books and relocated the headquarters of Graphis to New York City.

A New Format

Graphis is currently changing its format from a magazine into 3 separate journals, each specific to a profession: Design, Advertising, and Photography. Each year 3 journals will be published per profession and each journal will be dedicated to a different geographical location: The Americas, Europe and Africa and Asian and Oceania.

Makes me wish I was still a student! Although I do prefer working in the industry more, I’ve learned way more in two years since leaving college than I did all the time I was there.

Yeah i think you will always learn more when you are actually working, but this is such a great chance for students to gain exposure early on. There are so many student competitions!
