Although emails and the internet have become a dominant force in the communication world, people still do send out paper envelopes with letters in them! If you are anything like me then you probably have watched your handwriting degrade over the years due to amount of time spent typing with a keyboard. This is why getting custom labels, custom address labels and custom return address labels with your logo, address and design elements pre-printed is a great idea.
Why Not Design Your Own Custom Labels?
Designing your own custom labels is something you should consider for your studio or freelance business. Custom labels will save you time, they are great for branding and look extremely professional when placed on envelopes or packages. Below is a great collection of custom labels to give you some ideas of what other designers have done!

First of all a very nice post. Second I couldn’t agree more. As graphic/web designers we should all be taking every advantage to promote our respective businesses, and custom labels is just another way of re-enforcing our companies branding power. The ultimate idea with all of this is to ensure that we are the company the client remembers when they think “hmm I need a brochure”…. While things like custom labels do indeed look nice they also all added up to contribute to a persons subconscious. We have actually taken a slight different approach being that we use the old blood red candle wax, with our logo stamped into it to seal our envelopes. For us it works beautiful the client can see a virtually blank envelope and still know that it has come from us (though our envelopes are blank) these are all wonderful ideas to get inspiration from.

Good post.
I agree w/ Two socks. Take every opportunity to promote your brand identity using custom labels. I recently ordered 2 x 2″ 4c 500 labels for just $30 @ U-Printing.com. I use these square labels everywhere from envelopes to CDs. It helps my mail stand-out from the crowd. Labels are a good and affordable investment for any creative professional.

I love the idea of custom printing, not just from the marketing aspect of branding but putting a little personality out there where there just isn’t any.

Yes, I agree it really is a nice little extra touch to any business and shows you really care.

I don’t use address labels, but as an illustrator I always use stickers of my own characters and illustrations on every envelope I send- it means you’re exposing your artwork to everyone who’ll see that envelope on the way, not just the final recipient, and it makes everything a thousand times more personal.
