Nice list, I always found http://www.designweek.co.uk pretty good for new jobs online.
Also, don’t be afraid to go out yourself and get your own work. Its fantastic to work for a design company, but having your own clients can really raise your game when it comes to customer relations. Go door to door and drum up your business, don’t wait for the work to come to you.

A lot of the time, it can be effective to approach companies directly – the mistake people seem to make is in the email that they send.
Bad english, spelling mistakes, no link to portfolio, using a generic e-mail account and providing no other contact details – you’ll not get far.
If you just include a couple of examples of your recent work, how much you would charge for each one, a quick list of your skills (PHP/XHTML/CSS etc), a link to your main portfolio, and your contact details and possibly a small photo of yourself, you’ll get a far better response.
Oh and don’t spam hundred’s of companies – just send to a few select companies whose work is similar to your own.

I checked out a few of the job boards but the amount of money they offer to do some of the jobs are quite insulting. The person with the cheapest prices often win the most bids.
I have yet to come across a decent job board.
