I started offering hosting a little while back - not just for the extra revenue along site my general graphic design and website design work, but also it was getting really annoying trying install open source CMS programs on different servers each time.

The print side is useful but it can sometimes mess with your cash flow if your a one man band. Email marketing with someone like Mailchimp is another great way to grow your services easily.

I love BlueHost for web hosting, and would use them if they didn't pay me.

But they do!
Their affiliate program pays $65 for a new hosting signup (approx $86/yr).

This is great information and it would be great if other people could post similar information.

It should be noted that the mailchimps reward system is not redeemable for $. The rewards dollars can only be used internally for mailchimp services. If you have email lists bigger than 500 people this might be an advantage as you can use that internal "cash" towards bigger campaigns. (lists/campaigns for under 500 are free)

I think it's a little misleading to say that this would be an income generator, or a way to get more $ from clients, because you aren't really getting money, but extended services, that you may not have paid for in the first place if you hadn't started using this service.
