I call these calligrams – and sometimes produce some, with very poor tools (e.g. outlook font/colour options).

A friend of mine, also a calligram designer and cultor, collected many of them, variously themed, here: http://calligramdesigners.blogspot.com/

    enjoy!

Excellent post, being a graphic designer for print media we do came across several thoughts, but to be honest these Text arts are some thing out of world. Though i love playing with fonts, in fact I use to create my own font for my customer’s logo designs, but I never found a collection like this, it’s highly inspiring.

    Thanks for sharing.

I love these. I’m really exploring this kind of type art at the moment.

I got my assistant to do similar ones for a book display header ‘reading the detectives’

She did poirot, sherlock holmes and miss marple and the words were their characteristics.
