She can write backwards and knows that bit of info has nothing to do with design. She's been writing regularly for YouTheDesigner since January of 2011 (not backwards!) and has loved every second of it.

Amazing! Some of these are so incredibly reflective of the personalities of the sports stars. I’ve always found these kind of drawings amusing but never really considered the artistic value of them, or even really considered them as actual portraits. I think I’ve perhaps dismissed them as mere cartoons. These though really capture the essence of the stars in a positive, though perhaps not so flattering, way.

A quick question though, are these all drawings? Some of them look very much like distorted real images of the stars. Now that’s not to say that they’re bad, but it’d be nice to make sure that these aren’t being passed off as stunning hand-drawn artwork, taking away the limelight from those who deserve that sort of recognition as a lot of work goes into such sketches.

I’m positive that they’re digitally painted. And yes, I believe that caricatures are not as flattering as real photographs, but they can indeed capture the personality of the man/woman being portrayed.
