Whilst these are incredibly interesting and vivid to look at, I struggle to find a situation where these would be particularly useful. Sure, in some design work they might add a little something as a background however this would really be on a limited basis.
That said, on face value and for the pure benefit of just seeing the brushes, it’s really good to see that there are a range of free ones that you can find out there. For some, this will be exactly what they need and even for myself, there will be times when these will come in useful and give a design an extra dimension.
A personal favourite of mine that I could see me using is the design by kabocha. Subtle yet very clear in what it portrays and it actually has a very light, airy and soft feel to it.
