Summer Reading Flowchart

If your attitude towards books is the same as mine — research, horde, schedule, and read — you’re probably left with stacks upon stacks of books on your bedside table (or floor). However, you still feel that your growing collection is inadequate despite the fact that most of the books you have are still unread. As someone who’s always looking out for a good book that suits my taste, I was only too happy to stumble upon this very long flowchart of books for summer reading. I found out that I’ve already read the book that’s recommended to me based on my answers, so I just decided to choose a random book! Tell us the recommended book for you through Facebook or Twitter!

World No Tobacco Day

Too much of anything, especially one that affects your well-being, is bad. According to the World Health Organization, tobacco use is one of the leading preventable causes of death. That’s why on April 7, 1988, the first World No Tobacco Day was celebrated. It was then moved to May 31st of every succeeding year after the first celebration, linking each year to a different tobacco- related theme. It is observed by all UN Member States where for one day, smokers are encouraged to abstain from their habit. This animated video made by o-motion for the World Health Organization stresses the negative effects of smoking.

Twitter Logo Redesign

Doug Bowman, Twitter’s Creative Director, announced a change in the brand’s logo. Larry the Bird is given a new look– gone are the tufts of feather on his head, replaced by a slick look that, according to the official announcement, “grows out of love for ornithology, design within creative constraints, and simple geometry.”

Check out their short video showing how the new Larry is made up of three sets of overlapping circles.

Spends way too much on books and pens. Still trying to figure out what she wants to do for the rest of her life, but for now is endlessly making lists of books she plans to buy, places she wants to visit, and graphic designs she wishes she made or thought of.
