On January 14, 2013, Bloomberg Businessweek magazine will hold its first annual design conference – Bloomberg Businessweek Design 2013 at the de Young Museum in San Francisco, California. This event will gather numerous world-renowned designers and creatives across different fields of disciplines including architecture, robotics, city planning, 3D printing, data visualization, corporate branding and of course graphic design to discuss, present, mingle and show off something about how they and their respective fields are trying to make the world better, smarter and more innovative.
The Bloomberg Businessweek Design 2013 will be the first conference launched by the magazine after its acquisition in 2009 by Bloomberg LP. Attendance is through invitation only which is limited to only 250 attendees. Participants will be on hand for the entire day and will attend at the very least four sessions, networking periods and a closing cocktail party.
The event will be covered in various Bloomberg Businessweek and Bloomberg platforms including Bloomberg TV, on Businessweek’s website, Facebook and Twitter accounts, as well as in the Bloomberg Businessweek+ app. Moreover, the January 28, 2012 issue of Bloomberg Businessweek, which will be available in print and on tablet/mobile formats, will be a special design issue that will feature ideas and discoveries generated at this event.
