Caricaturing is the art of illustrating the human face and figure in a way that exaggerates their prominent features. Most caricatures are satirical in nature, making fun of the people being characterized. They are often used in newspaper editorial cartoons and other similar media, although they are made just as often simply for their entertainment value.

Their power rings are some of the most powerful weapons in the universe. Their predominantly green costumes and trademark symbol have been hits with several generations, and the series has received many awards through the years. They act under the guidance of the Guardians of the Universe, and each of them have been members of either the Justice Society or the Justice League of America. Definitely, the various Green Lanterns of the past and present still have a thriving fan base today, especially among designers.

Panning in photography is the process of capturing movement on the frame. While a subject moves in a certain direction, your camera follows the direction she is going so she stays in the same position in your frame for the duration of the exposure.

If you apply this technique correctly, your subject should look still in your photograph while her background is blurry, streaked or skewed, in the opposite direction of her travel. The overall effect can be anything from sentimental or nostalgic to action-packed and dynamic! Check out the following great examples of this technique and be inspired.
